Locura | two-day flamenco guitar workshop

David Carmona

Flamenco Biënnale 2019

David Carmona (Granada, 1985) was born in a family of professional flamenco artists. He graduated from the conservatory of Córdoba, where he now teaches. In 2005 guitar legend Manolo Sanlúcar took him under his wing as his second guitarist. With Sanlúcar as his mentor Carmona worked for years on his first solo album Sueño de Locura (2017), which features Estrella Morente and Tino di Geraldo. Manolo Sanlúcar: “He is my adopted son, my only heir, the only reference for the future of the guitar.”

In this two-day workshop he will focus on creation and composition, two essential aspects of flamenco guitar which will bring the participants a step further in their development.
