The music of guitarist, composer and arranger El Periquín is personal and intimate. He follows his great example from guitar master Manolo Sanlúcar. El Periquín, developed into one of the Netherlands' most refined flamenco guitarists and gained international fame at a young age, which led to many friendships and collaborations with famous names from the music world such as Carles Benavent, Joan Albert Amargós, Tollak Ollestad, Martin Verdonk, Andrés Marín, Paquete, Ed Spanjaard and Stochelo Rosenberg with whom he made a major Dutch theater tour in 2012. Kalb lives and works alternately in Spain and the Netherlands.

During the last Flamenco Biennale 2019, Peter Kalb plaid a tribute to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson who is a great source of inspiration for many flamenco artists. On his seventh album Para Siempre, you can hear flamenco is the starting point and many influences from other styles are interwoven in his music.
