The Flamen>GO! programme wil have its closing event Sunday February 1 with a big party in Bimhuis, with performances of Hollands Laken, La Fábrica, a short choreography made in the workshop Flamenco & Modern by Juan Carlos Lérida, live music, tapas & juergas. So an evening full of flamenco!
Pellizcos Flamencos - Hollands Laken
Las Sábanas de Holanda, cloth from Holland, is often praised for its excellent quality in old flamenco song lyrics. A group of ambitious Dutch amateurs and professionals from all over the country have joined together under this name to show off its best flamenco choreographies. Pellizcos flamencos - short but sweet flamenco snapshots - brimming with fun will be staged before and after the main feature in the lobbies of the theatres and at various locations during the festival.
Werk in uitvoering - La Fábrica
La Fábrica’ is a new Dutch flamenco collective who are looking for new flamenco challenges with buckets of swing. For this show, they have invited two Spanish guests: pianist Carlos Ema and artist Patricio Hidalgo. In these performances, this ‘flamenco action painter’ will commit his impressions live to canvas and to the screen in a spectacular dialogue of dance, guitar, song, piano, brushes and ink! La Fábrica is an initiative of Expeditie Flamenco in cooperation Los Primos del Norte and pianist Carlos Ema.
