New Times, Tiempos Nuevos, are new arrivals in the 'NederFlamenco' with this quartet which moves freely between jazz, classical and flamenco. Well-known melodies from great works of Spanish composers such as De Falla and Joaquín Rodrigo can be heard in the compositions of Edsart Udo de Haes and lyrics by Maria Marín. They are accompanied by improvisations of two jazzmen of great stature, Jamie Peet, currently one of the most in-demand drummers, and Ben van Gelder, who was labelled the greatest young jazz talent of the present day by the Volkskrant newspaper. Two classical guitars, two flamencos and two jazz talents united on the same stage by Edsart Udo de Haes, who is also gaining fame in Spain as a flamenco guitarist.
